Last Week

was it ? We went to find some kind of light food to fill the stomach before dinner seeing how I actually skipped lunch that day. The pau and sio bee here are pretty okay especially the green colored pau. Feels kinda odd that day as dear went there to order "normal water". What is normal water ? Asked the waiter. I was asking the same question mentally. :)

 

 

Miss Kenyalang a lot so we went back for a brief visit. I must bring out my camera more often instead of letting it sei ko in the silica gelled container.

Makan Makan @ Kuching

We went to the hotel to make the final payment for the banquet the day before our wedding day and while there went to find some eatery along the way. Bio tiok a place we've never remember seeing before. A place call One 1 Food House. The place is okay, quite pleasant and importantly got aircond ... which also means no smoking. Secondly the food is excellently NOT OILY! I repeat excellently NOT OILY. The fried rice is may not be the best taste but the not oily factor brings it on par with the fried rice made at Rock Road Seafood. Let me tell you ... a fried rice cannot be a fried rice if you didn't add a cow eye egg. So there you go ... One 1 Food House. Oh another thing I forgot to mention ... the price is very affordable. And there are also eco rice feature there. They also have a facebook page (who doesn't these day eh ?) at facebook.

 

Well this is one is a day after the wedding. Eric from Beyourself was still hanging around in town before departing back to Sibu by bus later that night. Since I'm the host, I brought him around town for the day. We went watching a movie called Man On A Ledge which was pretty awesome at MBO. Then brought him to try out a food at a new eatery and winery call Alfresco Wine | Dine. Allow me to say this, if you are not a big eater. A single plate of food is enough for 2 person portion. Like for example the fish and chip ... huge huge portion man. I'm pretty sure the place is rather new so there are some flaws around the place. For example the utensil aren't so clean. Lot's of watermark on the spoon and fork. And another issue is the policy of RM 100 and above only you can swipe a credit card. I think they should lower it to a sensible amount for RM 50 for the Dine part and remain RM 100 for the wine part. You know what I'm saying ? Ended up Eric have to pay his own portion with some of his money .. which was pretty embarassing since I'm suppose to buy him that dinner during tea time. haha. Facebook page for Alfresco

 

Few minutes before his departure to the bus station. We invited Terence from Fruity Life to join up for a supper at dinner time. Terence was buying but I was pretty bloated already by then. Had a lot of difficulty sleeping that night. Haha. But regarding the food ? Best tosai ever even though it doesn't look anything like a tosai. Maybe Roti Tissue ? The Teh Tarik was brilliant.

Safety First

Finally it happened. The very thing that I was worried when I got this car 5 years ago. The need to change all the tyre due to age, wear plus tear. Originally send the car just to do alignment but notice a huge puncture wound on the drive shaft rubber. Tyre condition was just 10% left and have passed the expiry date of 5 years. It was a timebomb waiting to happen. After much discussion with my parents, we decide to chagne all 4 and replace the drive shaft rubber altogether with the alignment. Hefty cost but is was definitely a fair trade in the name of safety.

Removal of the drive shaft. A lot of knocking with a huge hammer. A bit kin teo watching they remove it.

 

He is smiling because he just made a 1K sales this morning. Pretty nice shop owner, he is willing to tell you a lot of thing about car and tyres.

 

Done. Another 5 year cycle to go.
