The Story Between You and MeSeason of Durian, almost not yet soon

Tuesday, May 31, 2011

Tomorrow would a be a fine start to the holiday. We might be going to the fruit farm to gather Durian flower which are found in abundance at the moment. Nice to eat with curry gravy or even eat it plainly. We might be going together with my family perhaps as my sister mention she was interested last week. Maybe I should bring Ridsect, Zambuk or CK (Cap Kapak) ? Very scared of flying insects.

Not a very good day so far. Yesterday the phone accidentally used the phone gprs instead of wifi to connect to the internet. Hence yesterday 30 minute session costing a bomb at RM 115 for a data received of 11 MB. Mai chicken lo. A stupid and costly mistake. :)

The Story Between You and Meminutes at the beach ft. D a m a i.B e a c h.R e s o r t

Monday, May 30, 2011

We went for a quickie sun bathing session at Damai Beach Resort last, last weekend. Didn't have time to took it out from the memory card, been busy whole week again. So much preparation left to do. Finger cross everything will be just fine. Eric finally left the company after a brief stint here, we're quite sure he will do much better helping his father instead. Who better to take over the business than your own flesh and blood eh ?

a moderate Bokehlicious-cious-cious

Color was dull, so black and white is the way to go. I shot so many similar shot like this in the past.

Camo failed, need to learn from Master Snake (MGS)

Though small, it's still a living thing. It deserve the same respect you and I are given from God that we are undeserving.

The Story Between You and Mehomegarden

Friday, May 27, 2011

All these plants are done by dear's uncle at their home. Amid all the tree plucking lately, it's really nice to be able to get back home and enjoy a peaceful and serene view of a home garden. Brilliant and lovely at the same time.

The Story Between You and Meang gugu, chack!

Thursday, May 26, 2011

dear's very lazy and loveable pet cat. Always sleep around the house and only wakes up for food, killing lizard and watching over the neighborhood like dai koh.

The Story Between You and MeMix Vege

Wednesday, May 25, 2011

We had mix vege for lunch which we bought from Lian  June Coffeeshop at BDC. If you ever go there eat, be sure to try their fried rice with cow eye egg. Very nice. Oh by the way, the mix vege is nice too.

The Story Between You and MeCorn Sunday

Tuesday, May 24, 2011

My parents cook some nice sweet corn last Sunday. Dear was really into eating it until she ate it straight after lunch. Normally she won't eat extra snack right after lunch, but corn seems to hit that sweet spot on her taste bud :) We didn't manage to attend Church again this Sunday, as I was still down with flu and been unable to stop coughing during the day. We'd probably make it up later on Thursday at the Prayer Meeting instead. A long list of items for us to pray upon.

The Story Between You and MeSunshine After The Rain

Monday, May 23, 2011

There are really nice sunset these few days here in Kuching. If you always wanted to try that sun behind the back of your subject theme, this is probably the time frame to do it. Whether it's brimming orange, yellow or even a hint of magenta hues coloring the sky, it paints a breathtaking photos regardless of your subject.

On the question of what camera setting should we use ? I'm not sure there would be one that exist which would be suitable for such occasion although setting the metering mode to either the spot metering or partial metering does help. The next thing would probably the exposure compensation, dialing to +1 or +1.5 depending on your camera reading. The actual trick is, always try and try again fiddling with the setting along the way.

Came out very underexpose. Spot meter without any exposure compensation. Some will like this effect. Not bad on the first try.

Spot Metering and Exposure Compensation +1 still quite dark. The lens flare is visible because I'm not using the lens hood. It does add to the sun thing in the photo.

By far the most acceptable result I got. Spot meter, compensation +2. Meter at the eyes or face.

This one I ask dear to use center weighted metering. Not bad the end result too.

The Story Between You and MeTown Buntal

Wednesday, May 18, 2011

Went to the small town Buntal a couple of weeks ago, for a light yam cha session with dear. A bit hard to eat at the coffee shop there as there are gazillion of flies waiting to land on your food. Never the less, the mee goreng that I had was superb. Look forward to go there again when got free time.

The Story Between You and MeHanging Out After Church

Kuching is a rather small place, so we tend to scratch our head when it comes to looking for place to go. Usually we ended up staying home, watching movie or clean house only. Yet another blessed Sunday. Hope many more will come soon.

The Story Between You and MeAnecdote of Life

Tuesday, May 17, 2011

Amusing at it was, I find a few episodic melodrama that happen on a place not so many million miles away quite overtly dramatic. Whatever happen to a quiet, sane and normal bread winning place ? It doesn't seem to exist anymore does it ? Oh look ... heavy rain and thunderstorm finally. Is it natural one or man made ? Only God knows. When in doubt always try to pray a little more often ya, you may not know which one will be granted :)

Part of the couple watch series I got for dear. A very simple watch.

The Bible that I got for her after her Baptism coronation. :)

The Story Between You and MeLaughter is a good medicine

Monday, May 16, 2011

Saw these adverts in the newspaper on Sunday. Just for laugh ya, no offense intended. :)

The Story Between You and Mea simple garden

Sunday, May 15, 2011

Planning to add more greens into the house once all the extension is completed. Probably will pick up some nice and easy to take care plant from Sunday Market next week.  Green is very pleasing to the eye. Clean a few windows today and can say glass windows are really difficult to clean. There is always a blemish from the remaining residue if not wipe properly.

Resume church service once again after a few weeks hiatus (according to dear, she reckoned 2 months). Did a few prayers for family. Will attend a longer prayer at the prayer meeting if possible this coming Thursday. There are quite a few of thing matter that need praying.

The Story Between You and MeAttempt to silence

Saturday, May 14, 2011

Can't stand the sound of dragging wooden chairs, door banging against the wall so we went to buy some sort of a silencer material. Long time didn't go the Parkson at the side of town, was quite confused with the road layout into the building. Apparently the previous way to enter the Riverside Majestic building parking have been reversed due to the change of road when Pullman was completed.

On other note, how many light and power point do we actually need ? Answer is, as many as possible. Originally we just had 2 point (one light and one power), extended and expanded to more than 10. Frankly even with more than 10, I'd still think it's not enough. But because our budget is on a shoe string, having even more point is just too costly (the lights are cheap but the wiring is very expensive - hence why people like to steal it.).

Something unfortunate happen though that day, on our way back home (passing by the Merdeka field) our car was splashed with cement laced water. Had to wash the entire car after we reach home. But before that, still managed to drop by Kenyalang's Yong Guang coffee shop for a nice kolo mee with a warm fresh air bunga. So warm that we sweat like mad drinking it.
