Cleaning Is Hard, Making Place Dirty is Easy

Just finish cleaning the kitchen area and some part of the tv room. The dust and debris from the cement and construction work is as thick as 10 cm. Wiping a part of the floor clean requires 3 time of rinsing, drying and wiping each. Yet I'm still not satisfied as there are still some of the white cement stuck on some of the tiling on the wall and floor in the kitchen. Cleaned some of the door and windows, just trying to wipe off the cement debris sticking there like a sore thumb.

Speaking on the human anatomy, some unknown insect bite my middle finger (no, I didn't flipped it off for the record.) while washing the table fan just now. A sharp pain followed by a swelling 1 minutes afterward, applied medicine and waited 5 minute for the pain and swelling to subside.

My cousin's external HDD goes kaput today, he wasn't pleased with all his data gone. I could only help him by letting him know how much a new one cost. Without stepping on a pc shop or even the PC Fair next weekend. Poor guy, what would he do without all that anime, song and his assignment research.

Just finally able to sit down for a rest. With the kitchen and bathroom also done, I could now start my research on washing machine. What kind of washing machine is large enough to wash a king sized comforter ? Top loading of course, can't afford those pricey front loading (washer + dryer split unit). So far I'm looking at Samsung, LG, Pana and Hitachi. So much feature for each and yet I have no clue what is what. My main criteria is pricing ... haha. Tight budget bah ...    

Fail To Absorb

If your car got creaking sound when you sit on it, it could be a sign of the shock absorber giving way. One way to check is to take a torch light and point it at the absorber. If there are some fluid leaking, it's already gone case. This May already no money liao even before it begun. :) not that I'm complaining.

My cousin finally finish the tiling today. Later going to do some cleaning up before putting those kitchen cupboard and furniture into the new kitchen. I've help him install 6 pc game into his pc while he was doing the tiling job today. Second time see his wife after our initial meeting at their wedding about 1 and half year ago. Didn't talk much with her as I don't speak Hakka. :)

Kept a medium bag sized of cement leftover for Terence. Maybe bring to him tomorrow at one Jaya or something. We went to buy Ridsect and other stuff today at Upwell, was quite surprised no plastic bag was given. Luckily didn't purchased a lot of things, else it would be comical to hug them all and bring to the car.
 

A Deep Relief

I knew these kind of car problem will crept up the moment the car past it's warranty period and for that I'm quite relieved it happen sooner rather than later. Turns out the oil leakage from a few days ago is actually from the front and back shock absorbers. I'd always had that problem of the back shock absorber making a loud cranking sound the moment any ass sat on it. While the front absorber was a more nuisance as yellow oil leaks occasionally. I wasn't really sure until the mechanic there confirm it.

Before that there was a little bit of case of kin teo chuey boh parking for roughly 25 minutes and I call the customer service to ask if I can park directly inside the workshop bay. The attending service adviser this time around is Wendy, who happens to shows are great knowledge in various car problems. I'm quite impress with her work ethic that I might always request her to be my attending service adviser in the near future onwards.

Surprisingly after changing an ominous thing such as a shock absorber, most of the car rattling and cranking sound dissipate with it. Lovely ... hence my relief even-though the damage is quite heavy and me not having anymore budget to spend next month =.=".  MI300 sudah terbang juga ... :) 

Blind Truth

Found a brake oil leakage near the passenger side of the car undercarriage. Pretty bummer if you ask me. There are also air leak sound from the car power steering when turn fully to the right and left. Will get it checked tomorrow at the service center, meaning more leave to burn.

Baptism & Confirmation Easter Sunday

The time reads 5.30 am in the wee hours of Easter Sunday morning, woke up from a short slumber still feeling tired after cleaning various stuff in the house the day before. Today is Easter Sunday, a significant day ... an important day ... downright a monumental day. Today is the day, dear going to get baptize and officially a Christian. It was just like yesterday, she went for the first ever class ... now the time has come for her to be reborn once again.

There is a huge crowd was expected due to it being a combine service. Interesting things to note on that day, the Reverend had to killed a stray cockroach inside the sanctuary, It was the second time I ever sat so near at the front of the service and lastly shaking hand with literally more than 60 people (something which is seldom or if ever, do). Had a stomach cramp through the service but still manage to pull it through. Very ecstatic to witness dear's baptism. We are given an Easter egg each after the service have ended. What a joyful day it was. Although I think it's funny now that she is confirm and I've yet to be ... :)

Went back to home to watch Detective Dee movie. Pretty cool storyline, shame about the substandard special effects though. Quite surprise that Carina Lau got the best actress award for such a minimal onscreen time role. That's just my IMHO.

All I do is clean

Went to TJ Delight for breakfast this morning with parent and quite disappointed with the lack or thereof choices of food there. Major cleaning continue again today, an ancient ps2 console of mine. Thought about few time to donate this baby away but always hold back at the last minute. Holds too much sentimental value that machine have as it was my first splurge with my very first salary more than 7 years ago at Lahad Datu, Sabah. I'm quite amazed that it still runs perfectly today, unfortunately there is lack or almost no new games as it was already an obsolete generation.

Banana ... good for high dietary fibre. Cheap and delicious. I bought 2 controller back in sabah days as I shared playing with my supervisor turn good friend Eddie (Who happens to be younger than me.). And another 2 more in KL (unfortunately both died due to over usage) for other colleagues as we wanted to play 4 player game like Champions of Arm and Baldur's Gate. Those that spoiled easily are the cheaper 3rd party replica from China. Both controller above look the same rite ? One is original and the other is fake.

If you always wonder why your wired gaming controller always kaput first, it's probably of the bend in the design. A rubber clip with a stopper grip on the wire would have been a better choice. Then again, if manufacturer always created something that has an infinite longevity, money would not flow into their pocket (ala Igadget ... replace gadget with phone, pad, pod, mac, book ... dehko (not yet introduced by steve kang ...))

This is the analog stick control, probably the dirtiest part of the controller. So much dirt, grime and dust will be trapped inside here. Also the hardest part to clean since I didn't manage to remove the rubber stick from the controller.

The shoulder button construction look much robust on the original version than the fake version.

Finish cleaning and wrapped in plastic bag to prevent dust particle from building up. Ready for storage.

Honey Laced Gui Ling Gao

Sweat a bucket load just trying to buff off those wax paste on the car. Will try a spray on wax when this soft paste type is finish. Applying is easy, buffing is definitely not.

Went to tapao some gui ling gao dessert in the afternoon at some dessert shop at 101 which I can only recall one word from the shop name, Taiwanese. That's probably because I sat at the car and dear went to do the tapao instead. She mention the staff is allegedly rude or maybe they were just too bored due to lack of customer. We watch a movie call Blood Out at home, conclusion ? really boring, avoid it at all cost.

 

Decision Riding

Yesterday we went to Boulevard to enjoice (combination of enjoy + rejoice) with Terence and YL at Sony Centre. Those LED TV with 3D function sure look very nice with equally nicer price tag of course. Watching Avatar in blueray format with 1080p full glory enhanced by the 200Hz output of those Bravia gave us quite the goose bump. Dear was looking intently on a video camera while I was having a boyhood hidden peek at a PS3. I simply no longer have free time for these things. :)

Saw my neighbor riding a bicycle this morning, reminded my very last time riding a bike. 3 years old and 8 month was the age before my first and last ever bike broke into half. I wasn't really the first hand owner of that bike anyway, not even second owner but third owner to be exact. I'm pretty sure I won't be able to balance myself on bicycle right this moment but I do have a roller blade hiding around the store room somewhere.

Partial waxed the car this morning, marking out all the scratches on the car and tallying it in my head. 369 scratches and counting. Most are day to day scratches but there are 6 prominent scratch perpetrated by a neighborhood cat. Allegedly... Still considering to give the whole car a new fresh paint before the day came but it would come at a huge cost. Budget is extremely tight now. Quite annoyed at the constant patch of yellow mark that always found
sticking on the car hood whenever we park the car at the office. Until
today, we still don't know where the mark is or from what ?

Don't Flash It

The trouble with using a compact camera with flash is it tends to make the photo too blown out. Disable the flash assist and crank up the ISO a little. If there is natural light from the window that would be just a nice light source to give the scene some shadow depth. A matrix metering is used and voila, a fairly interesting photo from a compact no less.

A Just Ruling needs a Baby Step

How was polling day ? Quite a lot of emotion ran high during the built up of the Sarawak State Election on 16th April. Hopefully all the elected assemblymen and women will do their best to protect the people's interest and also Sarawak as a whole in Malaysia. For those avid basketball players, you can now ask Uncle George if he wanna play a game at the park since he should be very free now. Dear went to Stutong to listen at the ceramah finale. Heard from her it was really jammed pack. I couldn't join in as I was cleaning the house and sun pien jaga also as my parent went to the ceramah too. Incidentally, just a few minutes after the polling close, Kuching was hit by a super rain which flash flood some of the roads at Kenyalang. I got caught in the middle and hence caused the car the belting to exhibit squeaking sound yet again.

Went to jog with dear the next morning at 7.15am. Trying to change the jog timing to early morning as the parks are usually quite pack during afternoon time from 4pm - 6pm. Continued to clean house from afternoon until night time. Spend some time choosing the paint color the room and the flooring wood color. We both suffered mild to severe migraine after lunching at 1.30pm. Dunno whether it's the weather or the food. We both had fried rice. Liverpool last night killed Arsenal BPL ambition with a last gasp equalizer. Ho Chai ... else Terence want to brag in the morning.
 

I deliberately used a Tv mode and force the camera to shoot with a 1/10 s shutter. Emphasizing movement is quite important too instead of always pint sharp and frozen movement. Hand must be steady sikit ler else the background also will be blured kau kau.

Forbidden Chomp

Just weigh myself on the machine .. omg so de overweight man.... Gotta start losing 10 Kg pronto. Incidentally we had a buy 1 free 1 pizza just now for Peter. =.=" Lose weight is the next agenda now onwards.
 

Task Master

Completed a new program request yesterday. Phew ... so many if else cases to cater these days. Sent dear to prayer meeting at 8pm and drop by my aunt place for some catching up (haven't been there like 6 months ... tops!) Even the dogs also barking at me (long time already, must have lost my smell in their nose or something). Clean 2 standing fan when I reach home (too much dust) and a small stool. Wipe the flooring with a wet towel, somehow using a mop really isn't that clean. Too much watermark when the floor dries. Before that, got stuck in a 30 minute traffic jam on the way home. People's anticipation for those rocket ceramah sure is very overwhelming.

A Kueh Chap Story

We went for a kueh chap dinner with terence, yl and eric at bintawa. People always say this kueh chap stall is great and after tasting it, can confirm very suih to eat. The porky smell is just perfect. Since there is a wee bit lack of parking, if possible car pool with your friends. Beside kueh chap, they also serve kolo mee which smells nice too. Some guy gave us a Barisan National CD with Heart Sim's face on it, for a moment there I thought it was a Karaoke CD. Eric mention something on a backlit portraiture technique. A fine day indeed.

Sing & Dance Wayang Street 1.4.2011

Went to watch this annual (around 4th week of March and beginning of April) performance at Wayang Street on April Fools Day two weeks ago with dear. Took quite a number of photos that day, show the first few first. Still no time to browse it through yet. Admission is free which is good. The place where we sat is facing the speaker so it's a quite uncomfortable getting ear blasted the entire time. We only stick around for an hour and half or so only. Same lighting every year and also the same guy providing the sound system. Nice free little event, if you get bored of watching movie at the cinema.

Missing Found

Wakao, for so long I've thought my lenspen cleaner have been missing (dropped it somewhere outside). Finally found it after moving out all the furniture in my room. Now i can clean my 6 months uncleaned camera lens once again. Jeng jeng jeng.

Over the Edge

Just weeks removed from Wrestlemania 27 (A very crappy Wrestlemania in recent memory by the way.) where he successfully defended his World Heavyweight title against Alberto Del Rio, quite sad to hear about the news of the sudden retirement of Adam Copeland (Edge) due to an ailing body which no longer allows him to compete in the ring. Hopefully Toronto will be selected as future Wrestlemania venue so a proper coronation for Edge as a future WWE Hall of Famer. An accolade in which he truly deserves it and a grand stage for his very last 5 second pose with Christian (Captain Charisma).

What a load of balderdash

Went for a limteh session with Terence and Eric yesterday, talking about politics on all fronts. Nice to banter once in a while. It has become apparent that discontentment have very much escalated over the last few years here. A lot of absurd policies and contradictory statement have been issued while haggling on false hope. The questions is which politic are we talking here ? Quite tired yesterday, sleep upon lying down on the bed. Old age is catching up fast.
   

Dirty Tactics

Interesting that SarawakReport.org is having a DDOS attack. The more dirty tactics is employed, the more people will lose confidence on those who cannot be name (ala Voldermort style). Beside another suicide at MACC, teacher beat student to pulp (and eventually death) and there are also fake eggs hitting the news the last few days. What's next ? Deh ko serial stealer on the loose ?

Just came back from watching source code with dear. Wow. Very good and imaginative movie. We went for a morning jog also today as a replacement for our original plan which is hiking. My leg still very much in a muscle pulled state since yesterday. Had our dinner at He Is Peace, the mince pork rice is superb~~la. Must try.
