Was enjoying the holiday with the family today. Naturally my mum usually seldom cook during the holiday (yes, even house wife also need a break.. mmmkay.). So this morning we went to Foody Goody near KPJ for breakfast. First thing I notice about the place is the expansion of the car park on the land occupied in the middle previously. A good move as KPJ area really needed a lot more parking space then it currently have at the moment. The laksa stall is on holiday though today. So we tried the other food on offer.

If i recall correctly, I tried the kolo mee which was pretty standard. My father tried the kueh chap which he say was nice and my mum, the teochew porridge and some yew cha kueh (the astro singing competition's husband i think.).

We didn't order claypot but I just simply snap only because lazy walk to the kolo mee stall to snap. Met with my aunt and my cousin at the same place. They are tapao-ing their breakfast.

Moving forward to near evening just now. Went to Giant for the first time. Finally got parking. But quite baffling there are even people parking in the middle of the exit path. That's what you call parking like a Boss.
For dinner just now we went to a place recommended by Salt N Pepper blog. I'd go back there just for the nostalgia. New Lee Ming Food Court.

Quite fatty but really nice. Reason we ordered this is because my grandfather used to cook this dish before his passing not so long ago. It is safe to say, my grandfather's cooking still unbeatable.

This dish is call their signature taufu with minced meat (i think). Nicely cooked. They mentioned that the taufu is self made. Interesting.

My mum always cook this dish also at home. Nice to eat. Anything with belacan is mo tak teng.

Now this dish may look like your usual tun-kei soup but the soup itself is laced with cornstarch instead. So it is sticky instead of watery. Really nice and the cornstarch is a winner here. 4 dish with 3 rice = RM 48. I think the soup was RM 18 by itself, and some of the side dish are RM 7. Not cheap, not expensive.
