Back in our younger days, we are ask what are our future ambition ? I couldn't specifically remember what I wrote, it's either a police or the army, but I do remember a fellow classmate of mine wrote he wanted to be a prostitute (or gigolo). Yeah it kinda was funny not so sure about the reaction from the teacher though. Hey it was after all the 1990s. 20 plus year later, my perception on the issue of ambition never really changed much. Those that are fortunate and blessed are able to have an ambition on the grander scale while those that a blessed with normalcy, well normalcy is a scale by itself.
If there is a day whereby I'm given a choice to choose between being filthy rich and filthy happy, I would take filthy happy in a heart beat. My friends who I used to hang out back in the hey days of Grasshopper, Aaron Kwok (during a time where he used to do the pressing the nipple dance) and cassette was the IN thing, would beg to differ I suppose. I would always choose to be poor and happy, because by logic if you are rich, you will inadvertently lose your way somewhere down the line. That is purely my own opinion. Which is why whenever a friend came over to offer making money opportunities, I would flat out reject during or after the meeting.
For me, happiness itself is a wealth, the kind of wealth that is worth fighting for. In the house of God, everyone is equal. Social status means nothing. I sincerely hope people don't misuse the gospel from the bible as a money making tool, that is just so wrong.
