Saw my phone rang today, it was none other than Terence on the line. He mention on the renovation thing. I was totally not prepared as the first shop quoted a sum of 7.8 liap for the construction of an extra wall, a table connected with a cabinet with book shelf all the way to the bed frame. Although the pricing wasn't what I envisage (sweating profusely i might add), but the design itself was pretty much decided when I remember how my dear mention she never had a proper studying place. Even taking away the shelf still cost 5.8 liap. I have no problem losing a 24-70 sum in such transaction but I need to make sure the amount paid to the material ratio is worthwhile. After the panic attack, we went to one TJ to try for another quote. The taukeh seem more knowledgeable and he did point out a lot of yes point along the way, but i maintain that my budget for the table, cabinet and bed frame is 5 liap only. Knowingly I still need to fit in the plaster ceiling, lighting and also the laminated flooring. Mattress also lei, photo album lei, ring lei. hehe. I crack my head over the last few weeks trying to fit it all in. Again I maintain the amount spent is really not the main issue here, is the return that we get is the one. Window not yet do, so I can't confirm the go ahead on the interior stuff yet. So the wait begins.
