What a long day today. Good to see Eric back from his trip. Before that, this morning when I came to work, I found my pc died intermittently. My fear were confounded by the fact that some part of my work couldn't be recovered. I could sulk there if I want but there is no use crying over a spilled milk. Spend the entire day recovering and reinstalling the operation system from scratch. As I would put it, "shit happens everyday, there is no need to dwell upon it, but just to get it over with." :)
Was today a wasteful day ? Unlikely, as during the recovery process, I had some free time to think about the upcoming system that we're going to develop. I reckoned that simplicity isn't always that bad. Think of data entry process like filing a survey. Between a 75 page multi-tiered question structured survey and a simple 1 page 5 straight forward question survey, I'd take the singular page one any other day. A system should not only be user friendly, it should also be input friendly. I'm pretty sure a lot of people would love to have a one button to do it all program. In actual fact, I do too. Someday it will happen, I just hope I'd be the person to invent it. :)
