Actually I wanted to bring Joanna to the entrance of the Borneo Highland as she never seen it before. Unfortunately, I did a wrong estimation on the distance of the Borneo Highland from the 10th Mile township. Which resulted in my car petrol (left 3 bar at the start of the journey) and started to blink around half way there. Had to turn back to Kuching as I didn't want to risk being stranded.
The weather was very gloomy throughout so it kinda killed most of my photography mood even before I whipped out the camera from the bag. Along the way, while passing by a house. There was a loud sound coming from behind the car, which I initially thought the tire had blown but upon checking the rear view mirror, there was a lot of smoke coming from the side of the road. It was just some cheeky kids playing with firework.
Anyway, the entire road leading to Borneo Highland is quite picturesque. I hope to come back here again on an earlier time (6am - 7am) to catch some sunrise and mist hugging the landscape. Landscape shot really needs a lot of patience and also the right lighting condition. It is this type of unpredictability that makes landscape shot a fascination.
