The Story Between You and MeGeneric LCD Screen Protector

Tuesday, September 7, 2010

Bought an LCD Screen Protector for the camera roughly last week because I noticed a 1.5 cm hairline scratch on the camera LCD after coming back from the Telaga Air visit. It's practically brand less or generic but it does what it's being advertised. Anti dust, anti dirt (or finger print mark or face mark if you look closely at the OVF.) and anti scratch. All of which I've tested. It did further advertise as anti aging (still new oh.. how to test this ? probably will update this back after a year or so) and anti-strike (who in the right mind would use a blunt object to strike their camera ? Kai Wong from DigitalRev probably would). Unlike the previous LCD protector I used for the 400D which was a plastic type, the newer LCD protector these days are made out of glass. So be careful during the installation because you might cut yourself. Oddly enough, I prefer Nikon's screen protector more than this type.

Not so reasonably priced at RM 40 with RM 5 (Shipping) (Sorry I am a bargain hunter), it is a good item to get, to protect your larger investment, namely the camera body. I noticed that it doesn't fit 100% of the back screen LCD, maybe around 98% only. And no photo of the finish installed because I only got one camera. Probably I need Eric or Terence to help me on that one.
