I did a Pixart Photobook

Well ... I've always thought of how the photos would look like in a photobook and I gleefully tried it with pixart. One of the biggest worries is whether the photo color would look close to what we see on the monitor or not. To my surprise it's quite close enough. The software will auto compress the photo to an unspecified resolution before it was uploaded to the server. Pricing is ok, obviously as a consumer you'd always hope for a cheaper price. The quality of the book is fine and I look forward to create more photobook in the future, now that I know that there are more downloaded template on their website. Some of the template only gave a very small sized photo which I find it annoying when I received the book. My fault for not knowing that the template individual page are interchangeable.

Fotosizer - Batch Image resizing made easy

Fotosizer is a freeware batch image resizer tool. It resizes your photos in just 3 easy steps - 1. Photo selection, 2. select resize settings, then 3. Start the resize!

Usually I would use either Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom to do the batch image resizing but I kind feel like want to do it without so much of a hassle. With Photoshop it's through recorded action and Lightroom just put too much processing on the cpu. So i was looking for something simple and fast and free. Fotosizer is pretty good software.

Create a folder to place the resized file

This is how the program look like.

Select the folder to save the resized photo.

Then select the source folder

Click start and your done.

Ok basically the reason i wanted to a resize of the batch of images is because of the new gallery that I've setup. The theme only accept a post of a photo each.

Kuching Festival 2009

Kuching Festival just started about a week ago, and I went there last night with a few of my buddies. Going at the time of 6pm is rather nice because there still a lot of parking space and also a lot of place to seat. Apart from the assortment of food available to satisfy that taste bud, there were also the usual garden decorative display, a concert stage (build on the MBKS lake - for the first time), exhibition hall outside and inside the hall. Weather was soaring at 34 degree Celsius (checked with yahoo weather on my phone) and air quality was poor due to the haze. Oh and I met Siao Yi there with her mum :). My camera shutter start to show some wear and tear and I believe that it's lifespan is almost up (Sigh .. now what ?)

Sarawak Regatta 2009 Part 6

Finally this is the last part. All shot were taken with the Canon 55-250mm IS lens, to be honest on this kind of event the desired lens to use is Canon EF 100-400mm with a 1.6x focal sensor-ed camera. :) Hope you enjoyed it.
